Event with Congressman Turner in Dayton on Friday, September 21st from 7:15am – 9:30am at Wright State University.

Local Dayton organization International Cities of Peace is a partner organization for the USGLC. At the urging of International Cities of Peace, attention will be paid to International Day of Peace and Dayton’s Peace Legacy, during introductions or by Congressman Turner. Congressman Turner  was Mayor of Dayton during the Dayton Peace Accords.

The event will include breakfast, and the program itself will run from 8-9:30am at Wright State University. Ultimately, the event is intended to highlight Ohio’s connection to the International Affairs Budget (IAB) and U.S. leadership around the world. The program will include a panel discussion on the importance of strategic investments in development and diplomacy programs through the IAB, and emphasize how important USAID, the State Department, and other implanting organizations are for not only the United State, but for Ohio as well. The event is open to anyone, but USGLC will invite business, national security, & humanitarian/ngo leaders, as well as academics, veterans, and local elected officials from around the area.
