“Organizing Peace Events in Your Community” Interactive Workshop
Led by Jerry Leggett, Founder/CEO, 21st Century Peace Literacy Foundation and a lead organizer of the Peacebuilder Experience (PbX)
What are the essentials of organizing a successful community peace event? With more than three decades of professional community organizing experience, Jerry Leggett has started new events in more than twenty communities in California, Oregon, Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, Alaska and Ohio. In this workshop, you will learn practical first steps for inventing a peace-focused event that can raise critical funding and provide peace literacy education for all ages. Participants will be introduced to the 90-page organizing manual developed for the Dayton Peace Heroes Walk. (Space is limited/20)
