What is Transformation Dayton?

And why isn’t it Transformation Miami Valley? It doesn’t rhyme, you might say, but actually it is much more: Transformation Xenia, Transformation Urbana, Transformation Springfield — everywhere in the Miami Valley, practical, sustainable peace-building is needed more than ever. We are very blessed in our community, but many lack jobs and healthcare. There is hunger and poverty. Our families need to be safe from crime, and most importantly our children need quality education — these are the Transformational goals for which our Collaborative Group has a unique (yes, unique!) opportunity to address.

This year in September, Peace Day events by the Peace Dayton Collaborative Group (all around the Miami Valley) will be mapped to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals for Year 2030. A full-color, multipage “Report to the Community” along with a video and media campaign will be developed though summer/fall and culminating in November. With photos and stories, the Report will highlight each participating organization and their peace-building actions to support a Regional culture of peace. And you are a very important part!
